Created by/through: Local citizens donated thousands of dollars to erect this in a loving offering to a local doctor.

Description: Over the years the Lundy Fountain has become a mystery to many. It's been so long since a local committe selected this tribute from a J.L. Mott catalogue. A tribute to a Doctor Frank Lundy who never marched to the beat of money.

The next time you examine it in the park where it now rests (original location was where the post office now is, 1st Sw and Saskatchewan Ave, notice the 2 troughs at the base. Mayor Garland referred to them in his unveiling speech, "to quench the thirst of citizens and dogs"

Lundy Memorial fountain is one of the finest survivng examples of Victorian cast iron work. Missing yet are the winged griffins, and the water.
